Hello, I’m Lekesha Dean, LPC
The initial steps of a new journey or trying
Lekesha enjoys empowering individuals, couples, and families to explore both who they are and who they are becoming. With over 10 years of experience in promoting wellness, she approaches therapy from a lens that we are all our own best experts. She understands that we all have unique stories and offers a non-judgmental space to hash it out and help you uncover your strengths while you identify what gets in the way of you being your best self.
The tools to construct our lives exist in our interactions with our families, community systems, and the world around us. Lekesha understands that all these experiences affect each of us in different ways and wants to help you navigate your situation the best for you.
Her therapeutic approach combines motivational interviewing, narrative, REBT, ACT, CBT, and creative therapies to journey with you. As someone who has lived both the ups and downs of life, she is committed to creating a counseling environment that fosters respect, trust, comfort, shared purpose, and support. She acknowledges the decision to enter therapy can be challenging and congratulates you on taking this first step.
Lekesha is here to help you navigate opportunities to enhance your quality of life for yourself and within your relationships. She works with all individuals across the lifespan, especially those within systematically minoritized groups, who have experienced or have goals surrounding:
- Lifestyle Behavior Changes and Wellness
- Grief and Loss including Disenfranchised grief
- Transitioning into new life roles
